“Sleep Tight. Don’t Let the Bedbugs Bite.”

That popular rhyme had little meaning to several generations of the 20th century. Now, in more recent years, the bedbug has made a comeback and is making itself known as a common worldwide traveler.

The bedbug is a nocturnal insect which feeds on warm blood, most commonly, human blood. From a light, nearly white color to a deep blackish red, these insects most commonly infest bedding, mattresses and surrounding areas waiting for their next meal.
